Our Newfoundland Dog
Memphis is a Landseer Newfoundland, born February 27, 2009. Memphis came from HunterHill Kennel near Mount Forest Ontario. She lives in the Toronto neighbourhood known as Longbranch with Mister Anchovy, Tuffy P and cats Jerry, Delia, Rossi, Spud, Shadow and Jacques.

Before we had AC, we used to have a kiddie pool for our last dog to cool off in. She used to lay in it, with her chin resting on the edge.
We live in a swampy county, so I always carry an ice cream pail, old washcloth, and a gallon jug of water to clean the dog up before he gets in the car. I pour a couple of inches of water in the pail and have the dog stand, one foot at a time, in the bucket, while I do a quick wash job.
